I am new to blogging, but I have some idea's that I love and thought maybe someone else would enjoy them, too!
As my first blog post, I want to encourage you to see things in a new way - you will be amazed at the beauty that surrounds you and is usually free! For example, the flowers in the picture below could be from a flower shop - or maybe they are growing in your front yard, i.e. free!
I used to buy fresh flowers every week. With times a little different for myself at this moment in time, I always look in my own yard and see what I can create! They may not last as long....but it gives me the green and fresh beauty of flowers and greenery in my home!
So let me show you how I got to this picture! It is so simple, it really doesn't require any thought.
Basically, I cut some things from my front yard, trimmed the stems, found a vase in my collection and added water! So the next time you are in your yard, look at everything!! Hedges, ground cover, flowers - everything and anything!
The pictures above are not really attractive.......but look for leaves that are green and shiny and inspiring, cut off a stem and do the same with Lantana, or whatever you have in your yard and you too can create a pretty vase of flowers - definitely inspiring in any room!
Thank you so much for reading my first blog post, I hope you will look at everything growing in your yard and be inspired to bring some of the beauty growing outside - and bring it inside! Your yard wont miss a few branches or sprigs - but I believe it truly transforms your home!
This is definitely a touch of panache for my books and my living room........ but mostly, for my eyes!
Have a great week! M
